Manager/Producer Jack Greenbaum Visits TVWS

This week we are excited to host Jack Greenbaum, New York based talent manager and producer who will be joining us on Monday, October 2nd at 2:15PM EDT. Jack Greenbaum heads the New York office of the prestigious Arlook Group, headquartered in Los Angeles.

Originally from Kansas City, Jack’s career began in Los Angeles as a set intern for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia while he was earning a degree from Occidental College. He knew what he wanted. After graduating, Jack joined The Gersh Agency in the motion picture literary department. From the Gersh office, he segued from literary work into                                          feature development at Walt Disney Studios. The next stop for Jack was at the Weinstein Company, headed by Harvey and Bob Weinstein. Recognizing his talent, he was courted and signed by Richard Arlook at The Arlook Group and tasked with opening and running their New York office, which is where we find him today. In addition to managing traditional screenwriters, Jack represents playwrights and comedians, transitioning them into the entertainment landscape. On the producing side, he develops projects for film and television.

As we know all too well, one of the most difficult and trying things for any fledgling writer/producer to secure is representation.  That representation can come from an agent or a manager.  But, landing the right personal representation is even more important. Finding someone who truly believes in your talent and will spend the time and effort in starting and maintaining your career can be a frustrating and daunting endeavor. Representation is a vital element in the building and the continuation of a career.

Why is it so hard to get an agent or manager?  How do I find representation?  Am I being represented by the right person? Is my representative really working for me?  Jack Greenbaum will answer all these questions and more, while giving us the value of his insight about guiding a career, ultimately to production.

If it is at all possible for you to join us in person at The Steiner Studios on Monday, October 2nd, please let us know in advance and we will accommodate you.  It’s not often one gets to question an agent or manager face to face.  Come to Steiner and join us, “live and in person.”

The live stream of the lecture and Q&A will be available to watch on our youtube channel starting at 2:15PM EDT. To view this live stream click (or copy and paste) the link below and the lecture will be availableas well as writers, producers, directors actors and executives, etc who have visited us in the past ten years.
