In a bid to increase diversity in television writing rooms, the Writer's Guild of America, East and several New York City agencies have joined forces to launch the Made in NY Writers Room. This initiative seeks to pair up-and-coming New York City-based writers with established showrunners as mentors. Over the course of the program, the finalists will write and develop their own pilot, culminating in a live table read performed by union actors.
The Television Writers Studio is proud to announce itself as a recommending organization to make students eligible for this unique and influential program.
