Have you seen Women Make Film? If not, it’s time to tune in.
Join us for a free webinar with Cari Beauchamp — award-winning historian, documentary filmmaker, and author of WITHOUT LYING DOWN: FRANCES MARION AND THE POWERFUL WOMEN OF EARLY HOLLYWOOD — who will discuss the extraordinary series now playing Tuesday nights on TCM: WOMEN MAKE FILM. Beauchamp is an Associate Producer of this epic event, which combines a 14 episode documentary that is a guided tour of the art and craft of the movies, along with a full evening of movies referenced in the documentary, all of which were directed by women.
Beauchamp was instrumental in the vision of this series, which may be the best thing on television this fall. She is a prolific author, whose work includes Joseph P. Kennedy Presents: His Hollywood Years, as well as Adventures of a Hollywood Secretary: Her Private Letters from Inside the Studios of the 1920s. Her books have been selected for “Best of the Year” lists by The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and Amazon.
